I was born in Bombay (refuse to call it Mumbai) India on May 14.
My dad Behram Cooper was a Captain in the merchant navy till we moved to Perth, Australia in 1992. He then started working as a marine surveyor. He is currently running his own marine surveying company Aqua Marine Consultancy.
My mother Shernavaz Cooper is a house wife, which in it's right is a full time job. Especially when you are looking after the whole household's duties and the family finances. Not to mention raising a son (not that I was high maintenance.... uuummmm!!)
My parents did a wonderful job raising me. Having a dad in the merchant navy sure has its perks... got to travel the world and see places and experience wonderful things. The best bit was just the time at sea on the ships.
After moving to Perth in 1992 and finishing high school in 1995, I developed an interest in computers. Started to work at a company called The Computer Engineers on a casual basis while I was at Edith Cowan University studying Computer Science. It was there that I met a wonderful woman called Cassie (she hates being called Cassandra).
Currently I am working for a company called Tabcorp as an Desktop Support Analyst. Cassie is working for the Department of Human Services Centrelink. We had the opportunity to move from Perth to Sydney in 2008 and we took it. We have been in Sydney sine 2008 and loving it.
My Family
Cassandra Cooper (nee Fielding)
I met Cassie while I was working at a company called The Computer Engineers in Perth. After a few years of dating we got engaged in 2004 and married in 2005. It was a great day February 13, a day before valentines (this way I can't forget the anniversary... phew!). We had 210 people at the wedding and had no idea how we were going to fit them in. It all worked out. Cassie and mum did all the organisation and arrangements and all I did was dress myself and show up. Six years later (almost seven) we are living happily in Sydney.
The Wedding
February 13, 2005 a great day for Cassie and I
The ceremony was held at the Rendezvous Observation City Hotel in the Ocean Plaza foyer on 13 February 2005 at 3.30pm. Both of us were running late. Pamela Eaves a civil celebrant conducted the wedding. Before the reception the bridal party went to UWA for a photo session. The reception was held at the Rendezvous Observation City Hotel in the Harbour Suite on 13 February 2005 at 6.30pm.
